From:  Major changes to Mormon temple ceremony, especially for women
Religion News Service (Feb 14, 2019)

The  LDS Church once again has bowed to the social pressures of society and  has started changing doctrine on worship and temple rituals.

This  time to be more inclusive of the role of women.  Like the author  suggests, these are GOOD things. However, when major pillars of the  faith are changing to conform to the social environment, doesn't that  mean perhaps the leaders of the LDS church had it wrong before?

  • Don't  forget, at one time black Mormons were not allowed to be part of the  LDS priesthood and after time that had changed due to the civil rights  movement occurring around North America and the world.
  • Let's remember that Joseph Smith said that people lived on the moon and he saw them there.
  • What  about the supposed battles between the Nephites and the Lamanites, why  can't we find a single shred of archaeological evidence but you can find  a crazy amount historical evidence from the Bible (ie you can see the  ruins of Jericho or stand in Jerusalem)

The troubling thing about this article is that it's being done in secret.   So that when they are sharing their faith that they can say women have  always had an equal standing before God, but in truth in the LDS church  that just happened.

GONE: women’s promise to hearken to their  husbands, as the husbands hearken directly to the Lord. Men are no  longer intermediaries between women and God in the temple.
EXPANDED:  the role of Eve, who previously had no dialogue after the expulsion  from Eden, and is now purportedly more loquacious (tending to talk a  great deal; talkative) than Satan.
UNITED: women and men  covenanting together to serve God, with the same promises, rather than  covenanting separately with slightly different wording.

These  are not simple little changes, and you need to ask yourself why are  they changing?  Is it because God has spoken, or is it because the LDS  church is trying to stay current.

Let's remember, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Some  of the attributes of God are, omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent  (everywhere, at all times), unchanging, to name a few.

If the  leaders of the LDS church hear from God as they claim they do, there  should be no reason to change foundation pillars of the faith.

So what explanation does that leave?
