Jesus warned his followers that his return would be unmistakable — like lightning flashing across the sky for everyone to see.
Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that Jesus already returned in 1914… but that the event was completely invisible, and that only they recognised it.

Both claims cannot be true.

In this video, I examine Jesus’ own words in Matthew 24 and compare them directly with the Governing Body's teachings about Christ’s invisible return in 1914.
If Jesus explicitly warned his followers not to believe claims of a hidden or private return, then what does that mean for the Watchtower’s central teaching?  More importantly, who should Christians trust when there is a direct conflict: Jesus himself, or a religious organisation trying to explain him nearly 2,000 years later?
