Here is the story of Richard Dutcher, “The Father of Mormon Cinema,” and how he struggled with his faith after shooting various LDS faith promoting stories.

He is now in the process of shooting “Jesus Is Enough” chronicling the struggle of Mormon Elder, Micah Wilder, while he was on his mission in Florida.

His ambitious zeal led him to try and convert a Baptist pastor and then convert the whole Baptist church.
This endeavor took a definite turn when the pastor challenged Micah to read the New Testament.  Eventually he became a born again believer in Jesus.

After his mission he formed a Christian band known as Adam’s Road with his siblings and other former LDS, including one lady who left polygamy when she found Jesus.

Micah’s mother, Lynn Wilder, a BYU professor, also left Mormonism after finding Jesus and wrote the critically acclaimed book “Unveiling Grace.”

We had the privilege of hosting Adam’s Road at our Church a few years back and their testimony left a lasting impression.
I am so looking forward to seeing “Jesus is Enough” when it is released.  According to the interview this may take some time, Richard Dutcher is looking for at least 2 million dollars to get the story up and running.

I’ll keep you posted if and when this movie actually hits the big screen.

I’ve attached a picture of when they came to Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel.  Micah is second from the left in the grey shirt.

God Bless You – Don
