SALT LAKE CITY — The number of new members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the last 36 months exceeded the total number of church members alive during the 110th anniversary of the church.
Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles spoke during the Saturday Afternoon Session of the 195th General Conference. He shared that nearly 900,000 converts had joined the church within the last three years.

Presentation of data can sometimes be used to skew a perspective. You will notice the article above compares membership growth to total membership 1940. Why is that??
Please see the graph below which shows LDS church growth is very significantly down in 2023 from it's peak in 1992. (It is down by 6 X and appears to be on a overall downward trend.)

Congregation growth statistics. In 2023 there was a large increase in Africa, and decline in Europe and North America

Another interesting graphic is World Religions it would appear Islam appears dominant, however 'Christianity' is divided into four groups (Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, and Baptists) When those four are combined 'Christianity' is by far the dominant religion!
