"What Did He Say?" - "Say What?"
Third Mormon Quote Submission!
The Mormon Church has no unequivocal official position on whether the immortal Heavenly Father had sexual intercourse with his mortal spirit-daughter Mary to conceive Jesus. 'God had sexual intercourse with Mary??' (I call full blown offensive Blasphemy)
As you can see - by at least 10 different "authorities" this was not just a whimsy or out of context slip of the tongue. THIS WAS DOCTRINE.
Apostle Bruce McConkie, in perhaps the most explicit denial of the virgin birth, wrote, “Christ was begotten by an immortal Father in the same way that mortal men are begotten by mortal fathers.” (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, p. 547)
You might ask, “How can Mormons who believe this say that Christ was born of a virgin?” This is done by changing the definition of the word “virgin”. The virgin Mary did not have sexual relations with a mortal man, they say, but instead was impregnated by an immortal man. Bruce McConkie wrote,
“Our Lord is the only mortal person ever born to a virgin, because he is the only person who ever had an immortal Father.” (Mormon Doctrine, 2nd ed., p. 822)

Second Mormon Quote Submission!
“Come on! Ye prosecutors! Ye false swearers! All hell, boil over! Ye burning mountains, roll down your lava! For I will come out on the top at last. I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet.”
Joseph Smith said this in a sermon dated Sunday, May 26 at 10 a.m. This has been published in the official 'History of the Church' 6:408-409. Listen to another quote by Smith:
“God made Aaron to be the mouthpiece for the children of Israel, and He will make me be god to you in His stead, and the Elders to be mouth for me; and if you don’t like it, you must lump it” Joseph Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 363.
And yet another:
Can you imagine having someone say this and, if you don’t accept it, to “lump it.” But this is a man who blasphemously said that “God is my ‘right hand man’” Times and Seasons 4:375.
First Mormon Quote Submission!
"I say to the whole world, receive the truth, no matter who presents it to you. Take up the Bible, compare the religion of the Latter-day Saints with it, and see if it will stand the test." President Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Volume 16, page 46. May 18, 1873
We at Vigilant Minds accept this challenge by Brigham Young and invite any Latter-day Saints to come and compare the Bible with Mormon Doctrine!!
